Can you please take a minute to read this the shared status below. Maggie is a resident in sli burca where I live and I'm appalled at how her basic human rights are being completely and unashamedly ignored by the city council. She is physically disabled and has been fighting a continuous infection in hospital for 112 weeks consecutively - yes that's over 2 years in hospital. And now rather than make the adjustments to her house and let her go home they suggest transferring her to residential home. She is the same age as me, as some of my friends. Can you imagine life in a residential home. Quality of life?? Independence?? Freedom?? Because of a physical disability!!! This is lazy reaction from the council and it's disgusting. I have put together a petition in support of bringing Maggie home and called to as many residents tonight as I could to sign it. This can't be ignored.

Maggie

Hi everyone . Sorry for posting ans posting but don't know what 2 do. Still no word from our council. I need to highlight this so please tag everyone u can and share and like. I want 2 go home when discharged. It's 111 weeks today since I came to hospital. And now after a five year application the council are saying they'll need at least 12 months more. So in meantime lock me away in residential care. Please help me go home. Not looking for much except a room that's suitable to my needs. When I spoke about clots in 2009 I never stressed the danger I was put in. By physically moving like that I could have dislodged clots from lungs and they could have travelled to heart or brain
