Let him go home to his family. All they're doing by pulling him away is showing the city, that poor puppy, the children and family involved how heartless people can choose to be. K-9s are more loyal, and would have his handler' s back, including any other officer there. They wouldn't be losing anything at all. More so, they'd be gaining with the offer to reimburse everything.

Poseidon needs to be home with the only family he has ever known. Shame on Mayor Gunn for using Poseidon as a pawn for his own ego.

I've never heard of a Department not allowing the dog to go with the handler, unless he was just a 1-2 yrs old.

K9 Poseidon needs to go back to former Chief Patterson who has offered to fully pay for him and to provide another K9 . Politicians have no comprehension of the deep bond formed by these dogs who willingly place themselves in harms way to protect their partner.

Please return Posionben to Mr.Patterson. Doesn’t belong to tax payers... he has been with officer Patterson for a year and has lived with him and his family. Mr.Patterson has been an officer for 20 years. Politics have gotten in the way of this for all the wrong reasons. Mr. Patterson has offered to pay for him. So the department can replace him. Politics stopped this from happening! The dog is being used as leverage!

It is not right for Gunn to be doing this to the dog and the Patterson family. Staying with the people the dog knows and love is what is best for him. He is a loving animal with feelings also. He is not just a weapon for the camp point police to boss like a tool.

If the dog as not been miss treated and the departing officer offered to pay for him I don't understand the rrason behind it.

I believe that the K9 should always stay with its handler and if something happens to the handler it should stay with the family. This is the dogs family and should remain with them.
