Get rid of the person who made the incredibly poor decision to fire Julie, then bring Julie back.

Being enthusiastic, entertaining and connecting with your audiance, especially as a reporter, shouldn't get you fired. Being uptight & lifeless should. She was reporting about AGT for heavens sakes!
