Instrumentalists like myself need a platform. The fact that you gave Dave Kozy and the summer horns a spotlight was impressive. All genres of Jazz should be included.

I love the Jazz genre and think that it derserves more respect...America's Classical Music". 'that it is the sense of the Congress that Jazz is hereby designated as a rare and valuable National American Treasure to which we should devote our Attention, Support and Resources to make certain it is Preserved, Understood and Promulgated' passed the Senate 12/4/87

The current state of the televised portion of the Grammys are on the whole, an embarrassment! PLEASE bring back some real performances. Please bring back JAZZ to the Grammys!!!

Blues and Jazz are American music! Both need to be represented at the Grammys with all their sub-categories: traditional contemporary, best solo, best album, etc.

The Grammy's should represent all music genres, not just commerically viable music like Beyonce, Milie Cyrus, Kanye West. How many awards can Beyonce get? The Bay Area was shocked and delighted to see that you recognized Pacific Mambo Orchestra. We need more of this type of recognition, Jazz Instrumentalists is one that is sorely lacking.

Many current songs have about 6 chords and could be written by any 4th grade music student.
