I present a weekly radio programme (Jazz Train) on Source FM in the UK. It has the highest listening figures on the station. People - young people particularly are learning to search for the creative music making provided by the jazz community. Never forget that virtually all popular music forms have their origins in jazz and the blues!

How can the Grammy's ignore JAZZ??? Instead go with the drivel that they were honoring. If there was not JAZZ, there never would have been the other types of music. Jazz is Alive today, and will be for the future.

To think "Jazz Music" is ignored is a slander to the true American music. It is my belief that all other forms of "new" concepts in music has it's roots in jazz. Remember that jazz is truely an American art form and should and always be recognized as the basis of much of what is to be.

I have spent my entire professional life playing Jazz & Praise & Worship music. Music is what feelings sound like!!! The Grammy's have become a joke, they are not about music anymore. A song needs to be one that can be sung by one person, with one accompaniest, not a bunch of "tracks" & or production. Music is made by musicians, not machines. People don't listen to Jazz because they don't take the time to understand it.
