The Grammy's is an American Institution that never forget its roots,the rich musical history of jazz and its amazing contribution to today's music. PLEASE stop ignoring the efforts of hundreds of musicians who continue to gig around the country just trying to keep jazz alive. Its a shame that other countries value this American music more than we do. It's shameful and the Grammy's needs to stop ignoring our rich history.

music "promotion" is what the Grammy's is really about. SALES, without appreciation for the artform itself. Today's pop music is crap, so the sex is needed to sell it.

Definitely support this. The Grammy's have really gone off the rails and do not seriously reflect the high musical culture of the Americas in its public presentation.

Bring Jazz and rock n' roll back into the Grammy awards show. There's too much sex and drama!!!! I turned it off after a few minutes, and I'm a professional musician!!!!

JAZZ IS AMERICA'S ONLY ART FORM...IT HAS LOST RESPECT AT THE GRAMMYS IN FAVOR OF POP MUSIC...it is barely mentioned along with classical. ALL GENRES of MUSIC SHOULD HAVE A CATAGORY FOR AWARDS. I AM FURIUOUS AT THE LOW BROW PRESENTATION I SEE AT THE GRAMMYS EVERY YEAR..WITH VULGAR ATTIRE, RIDICULOUS SO CALLED "MUSIC' AND OUTRIGHT DISGUSTING EXCUSES FOR PERFORMERS. I LOST ALL RESPECT FOR THE AWARDS SHOW..AND DREAD EVEN SEEING WHAT YOU CONSIDER GREAT MUSIC OR GREAT PERFORMANCES!

The America World Music Genre...JAZZ The diversity of our country, actually, places those of other countries in a state of beatitude, based on the fact that we, as Americans, are the product of old world people. This statement alone indicates that Americans are the new world people, or new life source of the world. The various heritages of the United States widens our perspective of the plethora of cultures throughout the world without having to leave. The United Nations are based here because here, in contrast to other countries, are the world's arts, economics, languages, musical styles, etc., which, placed all together, perpetuate the freedoms that are granted to its citizens, born here or abroad. This would make the United States of America a great Nation. One of the greatest gifts we as Americans – the world's people - relish is that we have the freedom of expression. From this expression the greatest music in the world was developed. Called many genres: world music, avant garde, be-bop, swing or freeform, it's a depiction of the cultural world influence. This music is known as the American World Music Genre or "Jazz". This music is not black nor white, rather, the Melanin Hue of the various cultural complexions of the World Nations that inhabit our earth. The real history of the birth, and continual development of America is well known and, in most cases, is not a pleasant one, however, what was born out from it, not only came the greatest babies of the world's people, but the most influential form of free expression called...."JAZZ"…you digg.
