The location on lakewood is perfect for us. Hope the council sees how much the neighborhood wants this.
We love this school so much it would be a shame to lose it because of zoning drama.
My daughter has thrived here so much. We really need this new building to keep that momentum going.
PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN. Ocoee needs more options like this for our kids.
We moved our oldest child into this charter school because we felt it would it encourage his self esteem and love of learning. Not only has he improved in those areas, but his over all behavior has noticeably improved. He loves going to school and is so kind to his younger siblings. This school has been a blessing to our family and I'm so thankful that we will be able to send our younger children there as well. We always wanted to give our children a monstessori education but the cost was out of our reach. Having a FREE Charter school has allowed us to stay in our Ocoee home while providing the education that works best for our family. I strongly believe this school will be a cornerstone for Ocoee and look forward to the positive growth and community that it will inspire.
I became a Montessori teacher shortly after arriving in the US, from Ireland, in 1993. I am a huge believer in the benefits of Montessori education for children, as it supports both their academic and their social/emotional development so well. I have spent years working in many fine private Montessori schools in Central Florida and I have always lamented that the benefits of Montessori were denied from families who couldn't meet the hefty tuition requirements of a private school. I was so excited when I discovered there was a public Montessori school in west Orange county. This is my fourth year as a member of staff now, and I can personally attest to the total dedication of our board, administration, teachers and staff to providing the children in our community with an authentic Montessori education. I have never before been part of a more devoted community, willing to contribute their time and talents to their school. There are now over 500 public Montessori schools across the nation and that number is on the rise. Ours is a school on the move, both literally and figuratively! Ocoee is the city I first moved to when I came to America, and I would love to see its residents be the ones to benefit from having such a wonderful and highly esteemed public Montessori school within its city limits.

This school changed my son life. He used to hate school but now he actually looks forward to going every single day.
