Let's bring a year round ice rink back to Santa Monica. Combining an ice rink with a soccer field will be an asset to the city. Must have parking at the site so people can easily access the facility.

ICE SKATING RINK --THAT will be a community gathering spot:
teens, kids, families, couples.
Events, competitions, lessons, guest visits from skating personalities/groups, holiday showcases .... it could be the gem of the city. And a much needed center for the younger crowd to recreate and gather.
Ice skating is enjoyed by so many.

The westside needs an ice rink. This kind of sports facility will encourage healthy and active lifestyles and would be an asset to the community.

We are a hockey family. We love the sport, i still play in a league at TSC and my kids play for the Jr Kings in El Segundo.
We would love to have a rink here in Santa Monica where we live.

We need this option for our children. Also put in a batting cage and the site will be used 24 hours a day!

Having lived within walking distance from the Culver City rink (that means I went there a lot!), a couple of observations. This recreation facility appeals to a diverse set of people. In particular, Culver City was a great place for teenagers to hang out in a place with plenty of adult supervision not too far away. I'm sure Santa Monica will be a friendly place for kids of all ages.
