Sports especially ice sports bring lots of business especially to a hot city like Los Angeles. Also is good for the community especially the youth. There should be more programs that includ ice rinks.

This complex would allow me to have an ice rink closer to where I live. I currently drive to El Segundo, Van Nuys, or Panorama City so that I can ice skate/play hockey on a regular basis. If I am joining a large group of people and we are trying to rent the ice for ourselves we usually have to go even further away because ice time is at a premium. The Greater Los Angeles area needs more ice surfaces to keep up with the growing interest in ice hockey.

If this doesn't happen I will personally demolish a parking structure in Santa Monica and build the rink with my own bare hands.

Ice rinks are becoming one of the fastest-growing opportunities for recreation, competition, and community outreach in the U.S. Santa Monica would greatly benefit from having this resource available to the public.

I am part of this committee that is working with the Kings to bring this proposal forward and also a skater and would love nothing more than to have another ice rink available on the west side since Culver closed. It is important to achieving the goals of the city of Santa Monica and the soccer organizations as well. It benefits everyone.
