Bring Ice and Field Sports to Santa Monica Airport

A win/win/win for the skating and soccer communities and the revitalization of the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. This project would repair a broken infrastructure of valuable community resources in the Greater Los Angeles Area. This world needs more resources like this to celebrate and promote the spirit of positive human virtues.

I support this project, not only to fill the horrible void left by the horrible decision to close Culver, but such places teach discipline, teamwork, and can provide life long friendships. This means a great deal not only to LA Kings fans but to hockey fans (and players) living in Greater Los Angeles and Southern California overall. Further the strength of hockey in SoCal!

Would LOVE indoor ice rinks in Santa Monica

The Westside in general and Santa Monica in particular have no sports complex available within about a 1 hour drive (more, depending on traffic), other than those that belong to schools or universities, such as UCLA or Santa Monica High School. All of these, however, are subject to restrictions and are not available for general use by the public. Given the exorbitant tax rate levied on those of us who live in these areas, it seems only fair that we should have access to a good sports complex for our families.

My kids skate and play ice hockey. We live in Brentwood and would love to make a Santa Monica ice rink our new home just as the old Santa Monica rink was my sister's ice skating home growing up. It would be a wonderful addition to the Santa Monica community.

Westside needs a ice rink

I am a homeowner in Santa Monica and encourage this project. My son is a hockey player for the Jr Kings and the Toyota Center in El Segundo is a vibrant social center and booming business for that city.

This project would be a huge benefit to the city of Santa Monica and nearby Westside residents. There is a large untapped market of skaters and hockey players who would become active again; it's not just about drawing business from other overcrowded rinks around Los Angeles.
