it would be criminal to deny kids the opportunity to be able to skate and have somewhere were they could get the exercise and athletic experience that they should have.

Please bring an ice rink back to the west side of Los Angeles. Losing the rink in Culver City was something we tried to stop but now that it's gone, we can build in order to bring something back.
I support this project, and so should you!

We have two NHL teams in the area, but no rink on the Westside. What a bummer. Living in Venice, the closest rinks are El Segundo and deep in The Valley. My hockey gear is sitting unused in the closet. Having a rink up the road in Santa Monica would be a dream.

as a US Olympian I firmly endorse the development of the sports in the Santa Monica area that only for our youth but for the entire community. His former director of the Ice Capades chalet in Santa Monica in the 70s, and for 33 years that ice director and head coach in Culver City's ice arenawhich is now closed, we need various sports to enhance and develop the youth of our communities!!

Culver City Ice Arena is gone forever. An ice rink is something the Westside desperately needs. Santa Monica can only benefit by having a rink/sports complex. It will be a great resource for the whole community, not to mention bringing customers for other businesses in the area. It's a fantastic opportunity for Santa Monica. Please don't miss this chance to bring this awesome community facility to Santa Monica.

I'm 69yrs. Old and the Culver Ice Rink had been a big part of my growing up and that of my family and our neighborhood. It was the source of so many FUN and Wonderful Times for All of us ! I AM SO SAD THIS IS HAPPENING IN OUR HOME TOWN! Now it looks like there'll be EVER MORE of those "Cracker Box" Condos with their MULTI-MILLION $$$ Price Tags pushing out the people who have built this City to pander to WEALTHY FORIGNERS!
