I know East Bethel has had some tough horse cases to deal with in the past but Clearly this is not one of them! The animals in question have been cared for and loved, there have been no complaints of mistreatment of neglect. I would encourage the powers to be to take another look at this situation and see fit to let Shooter return, to be with Sunny who surely misses his friend. Please do the right thing! Let Shooter return home!

I have been there, the horses are well taken care of, plenty of food, exercise, shelter. Being raised with horses a horse does not have to have a acre to live on, many show horses never even see a pasture and are in excellent condition. She had a permit before!

Horses are herd animals and must be with other horses. It is cruel to have one horse living alone. I feel so sad when I see horses living alone. MANY people have horses without enough grazing pasture. I am a horse owner and even though I have enough land for my horses, I still supplement with hay because not all of the land is good grazing grass. This is VERY common. Caring horse owners should not be punished because of an ordinance. If neighbors have observed Shelly's great care, that should suffice. Plus, Shelly has rescued a horse, the kindest act ever. Please make an exception to this ordinance for Shelly, Shooter and Sonny.

Please make an exception. Shelly is an active member of the horse community, volunteering her time at the MN Horse Expo to share her horses and experience with others. Her horse Sonny, has become attached to Shooter, as has Shelly. Shooter is a retired racehorse - Shelly adopting him, is heroic. We need more people to step up and be willing to provide good quality lives for our racehorses when they retire.

Horses are herd animals and need companionship. Her horse Sonny is the sweetest, most social horse! Please, for Sonny’s happiness and overall well-being, allow Shooter to return home! Shelly is a dedicated horse owner who takes the best care of her horses.

This city has ridiculous ordinances and offers no services!
