Fr Joe was the chaplain of my high school years ago. He was never anything but a faithful and loving priest. I will do whatever I can to support my old chaplain, spiritual guide and friend.

Bring him back or tell us the truth and full story as to why you “fired” him. Enough is enough!

When we first moved to Norfolk Father Joe saw that it was just me with three kids alone at Mass. He went out of his way to welcome us and to take care of our family while my husband was deployed. He is a truly wonderful priest. I dearly hope that he is allowed back to his parish.

I met Fr. Joe when I moved to Norfolk as a (17 year old) Freshman at Old Dominion University, 4 years ago. He has been nothing but kind and caring ever since I met him. He has NEVER given me any indication that his intentions were impure. He has been a mentor to me, and he has cared for me as an uncle would care for a nephew or a father would care for a son. He is my pastor and my friend. He has given me advice and helped me through difficult times. He helped me put on a food donation project at ODU several semesters in a row. He has helped me develop into the young man I am today. He truly cares about his community and he has had more than a positive impact on my life. This situation does not only affect Fr. Joe; it affects everyone that has been impacted by him. I have not seen Fr. Joe in months and I truly miss him. I understand the church needs to protect their image and remove any corruption, but this man (AND this community) is being unjustly punished simply because Fr. Joe was trying to make a positive impact on his community.

Bring Fr. Joe back! He is the heart and soul of Blessed Sacrament. He has brought so many back to the Church, my self included, and it is empty without him.

Father Joe is a good man. I know him from his roots in the 1990s when I was in high school. He was very helpful and encouraging.

I was his student at St Vincent de Paul High School in the early 90s. I also visited Father Joe in Rome at The Vatican. These claims could not be supported by anything I ever heard or saw. Hang in there Father Joe.

In my years of knowing Fr. Joe he was always a role model to me and other students at St. Vincent DePaul High School. He was always a man of faith and integrity. Time to bring him back to his flock.

Fr. Joe has helped me through very hard times. He helped me during my crisis of faith and is the reason I am still a practicing Catholic. The church, and the young people who are a part of it NEED priests like Fr. Joe. Please let him return to his parish family.
