I have sent letters explaining my frustration with the process, but at this point all we want is to have Father Joe back to lead our parish in fellowship and bring us back together as a faithful community.

Fr. Joe and I have worked together for 15 years shepherding our flock from 370 to over 1,000 parishioners through the RCIA, his sermons and constant outreach. He has instituted sung Evening Prayer , Adoration and our May Procession. Please return our hard-working, spiritual shepherd to his flock.

I came to Blessed Sacrament from a 10 year membership at Holy Trinity. Fr. Joe is the reason why I am a member of Blessed Sacrament.

Fr. Joe is one of those priests who you rarely get to meet or hear say Mass. Blessed Sacrament is the parish it is because of him. Please bring him back.

Father Joe has been a role model for our children and I am sure that they are now successful college students in part because of Father Joseph Metzger involvement and engagement during their youth. He has been a gift and a blessing for our family. Father Joe, has all our backing and support and we are asking for his return to Blessed Sacrament Church.

Father Joe has renewed the faith of many, he has awakened a lively interest in the faith among the young, he has helped strangers to our faith to view it positively--he loves being a priest and his love and dedication have touched a multitude of different lives in positive ways. The judgment by the diocese seems out of all proportion to what is stated as his misdemeanor in the bishop's letter.

But what if he doesn't want to come back? He may have opportunities that will help his Spirit grow after so many years of Parish Ministry. I don't know, maybe we should check with him and see how he's feeling about everything. Love and light, peace and good times to all.
