I am sorry that this exam week is too stressful for these unfortunate grade 12 snowflakes. These students need to understand how to manage stress and still remain effective. In the private sector no employer will provide you with a week off just because your work is too stressful. So get out of here with the stress argument this is how the world works it isnt always in your favour.

This is absolutely ridiculous, exams and expetations are getting harder, but the time and in-class preparation are being taken away. It's unfair how the grade above us got a week to study and the grade below us doesn't even need to take exams.

If students are still taking provincial exams, taking away their preparation between semesters is rediculous.

An exam week is much needed, especially for students in grade 12. Everyone wants to do well for our post secondary marks, so we'll be using the exam week to prepare as much as we can to get the best results/marks. To have classes while taking exams at the same time is completely absurd. I hope that the ministry of education will take this into serious consideration.

This year the exam is on a Tuesday in January and the French students have their own exams. Additionally, teachers have finals in other classes as well and most likely final projects too. Having time to focus on exams makes a difference for many students so that they don't get overwhelmed with stress as Grade 12 is a very stressful year.

Before Grad is part of the tradition of the whole prom process. Even the teachers tend to allow students to miss that day and have fun. I think having a provintial that day is firstly not fair and not very reasonable.

Grade 12's have other final exams to worry about apart from the English provincial that we need time to study for as well. We deserve the time to study and for the break as it's a lot to handle at once. How can we be expected go straight from exams into new classes without being given a mental break?

This is such a joke. In the past the grade 12 English provincial has been written on the Monday which just so happens to be the first day of exam week, therefore meaning they get a weekend to study not an entire "Week". I am very happy to hear that the government is doing away with exam week as it will provide more in-class support time for students across the spectrum helping further develop student skills. Let's be honest the only reason this petition is a thing is because students don't want school.
