I'm not in Grade 12 yet, but I do know how invaluable the exam week was for my English and Science 10 provincials, and just because my years' provincials are being phased out does not mean that this years' Grade 12's should pay the price.

You do know that even universities offer at least one week off for students to be able to study for exams/finals right? We're not fighting for anything that we don't deserve. The point is, all the Grade 12s before us that had to do provincials and other final exams got a full week off. We deserve this same "privilege" as we have to continue with the same curriculum. It is completely unfair to take it away but still leave us with all this work. And I highly doubt giving us a week off of school to study more is going to ruin our lives and turn us into complete failures. Let me remind you that we're asking for this week off so we can succeed in our exams and get into good universities, etc. So please, if you don't support this petition, you can take your petty problems somewhere else.

Stop liberalizing everything. Changing everything every few years. Make a fair plan to give students sufficient time for exams and just stick with it.

If you're think the stress argument is invalid, then please stop using the real world as one. We are not asking for EXTRA days off because we are too stressed out, we are asking to be given the SAME circumstances everyone else has had. This is high school, where everyone is supposed to have equal opportunities. You may see us as spoiled teenagers who can't handle stress because you're too egoistic to actually see our situation, but we are students fighting for equal opportunities and fair treatment.

When it has already been decided DURING THE SUMMER that grade 12's next year will not have to take the provincial exam, It is clearly unfair that the current 12's do have to take it and on top of that, Have regular classes along with their finals overlapped during the same week. Provincial weeks should be separated from regular class weeks for ALL GRADES, ESPECIALLY GRADE 12'S considering the fact that our English provincial is worth 40% of our entire grade. Our grade 12 marks are very important for applying to post secondary and this system can strongly affect it. PLEASE CHANGE IT.

This isn't about being "a little stressed out". We are having taken away from us this opportunity that everyone has had before us. Exam week existed in the first place because they are necessary for students. We are being treated unfairly and are fighting for our opportunities and our own lives, so please don't pretend you know everything about the "real world" if you just want to be bitter.

It would be hell for the school and me personally if the exams happened in the same day as normal schedule because I would be extremely stressed out and pissed off the day of because I don't know what I'm doing and wouldn't get to study if I was in class.
