Let them have their newspaper. This is going to help a lot of people who want to have English majors. It would look good on their college applications. Then more people will get accepted into good colleges and increase the number of college graduates from your school. You have more to gain than lose.

Dwyer's newspaper used to bring the entire student body together to discuss issues that pertain to them and it would spark interesting conversations in the classroom. Stripping these students of their passion to write and express themselves is doing them an injustice.

A school newspaper is a fundamental part of any high school. It is equal in importance to an SGA or a football team. The presence of a free news organization and press is even more important during the current political climate, and anyone would be a fool to deny it.

Dwyer's Newspaper was an integral part of my high school experience as I was involved with it for four years. It is a disgrace that student's freedom of speech and the press is being violated by taking away such a staple of school communication.
