I adopted my dog from the Elizabeth shelter while Darcy Was in charge. She brings much need visibility to animals who, without her advocating, would likely be euthanized.

I have know Darcy for several yrs.Darcy goes above & beyond for animals.In my opinion & many others, Darcy is the best & only choice to straightened out Newark AHS.She will work to see that every single animal @ Newark gets the best of care & Darcy will work with rescues to pull animals from Newark & save many,many animal lives.Marge Petrow

I can't think of anyone better of being an Executive Director than Darcy. She truly cares for all animals and has the knowledge and experience to get the job done and turn this shelter around. She was so instrumental in turning the Elizabeth Shelter's high euthanasia rate to the lowest it's been in years and increasing the number of adoptions through her connections with adopters, fosters and rescues. If you want to change your already tarnished reputation then she is the one that can do it! Please consider hiring her in order to make that change before things turn even worse for AHS.

Associated Humane, Newark needs to hire individuals who are knowledgeable, experienced, compassionate and who have a track record of getting things done (the right way.) Darcy Del Castillo has proven that she has all of those things. She has done an amazing job at the Elizabeth Shelter.

Darcy needs to be reinstated. Put her in charge ! She has proven what a difference she makes for the animals , rescues and AHS Newark-Branch. Give Darcy the job. Give the animals a humane place to be.
Where they will be cared for and on their way to foster, rescue or adoption.
