Why did he have to die? I know Damon's not the hero but well this is how you repay him for doing a heroic job by killing him and not allowing him to come back to the land of living. Damon and Elena had just found their way back to each other and well now they are separated because He's DEAD. WHAT THE HELL? Damon and Elena are meant to be together. <3 they are good for each other and need to be TOGETHER. Since they both can't live without each other.
DELENA ARE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER AND NOT WITHOUT EACH OTHER.

Dont get me wrong, I would follow Ian to any show or movie. However Damon is an insanely important role in Vampire Diaries. A lot of viewers only watch VD because of him.
