This petition is not about excusing student behavior — it’s about the real and lasting burden our current DAEP arrangement places on families.
Having to drive over 30 miles each way to Madisonville for DAEP has caused parents to lose jobs, vehicles, and stability, while doing little to address the underlying behavior issues. The current system punishes families, not students.
We’re asking Centerville ISD to find a local or in-district solution that holds students accountable without destroying families in the process.
