I do not want them to cancel the ceremony. It is a a right if passage for our children.

This is so sad that the children work so hard fir 8 years and they are taken away the right to Graduate!!! I find this to be very wrong!!!! Please lets do somthing to help our Children have there Graduation!!

8th grade graduations are time honored traditions for students and families. Definitely an accomplishment that needs celebrating.

I have so many question on how this came to pass. My wife and I are always being informed by phone about the littlest things going on at the middle school (donate to this and that, Hamburger Day at Culver's, Teacher Promotions, etc. ) But somehow we missed this little detail about the possibility of my only daughter missing out on one of the most significant milestones in her young life. Shouldn't a decision of this magnitude warrant a mass communication of some sort instead of a veiled comment on a Facebook page that many may not even follow. I feel that the students and parents of Dist.115 have been blindsided by a decision that was made without the benefit of those being most impacted involved. YMS officials should be ashamed of themselves. All I have left to say is..... these poor kids!

Have it at the high school or in a park. This is a selfish decision, the only ones that suffer are the children.

This petition is only the results of a bigger issue. The petition should focus on removing the principal that took this decision without consulting anyone.

The Fine Arts Festival in March arranged parking with shuttle busses, so why can't they do the same for Graduation?. The Fine Arts Festival also had performances scheduled at different times, why can't they have an early ceremony and a late ceremony? Why didn't anyone consult the parents? They could have team 8-1, Team 8-2 and Team 8-3 Graduate on different nights. They are very wrong for making so many parents upset like this. I pay my taxes and I want a Graduation. This decision without the Parents involvement is not acceptable.

Really? How was this even considered? Move the ceremony if need be, but let them graduate!

I am truly dissappointed about how this was decided. Everything that happens in this district is voted upon. Now they decide to make this a dictatorship. My daughter was looking forward to her Graduation. The kids should keep this Celebration as tradition.
