I'm watching Father Brown on Netflix. I just started Season 4 and am very disappointed that Tom Chambers is gone.

Tom Chambers was wonderful! The characters of Father Brown and Inspector Sullivan were just getting to a place where they could have been less antagonistic where there would still be drama where their goals diverged--Sullivan in the dogged pursuit of justice, and Father Brown just as doggedly for the salvation of souls.

His portrayal of Sulluvan, a an of letters who happened to be a police officer, allowed such an interesting character to play off of the wonderful Mark Williams' Father Brown. The show was much better.

PLEASE bring him back, he was by far the best actor to play his part!! I love the way he interacted with Father Brown and the fact that he was easy on the eyes was a huge added bonus!

Mr. Chambers unexplained absence and replacement has reduced the quality of this fine show. The new inspector may be fine in other works, but here he instantly takes the audience out of the drama. There is zero nuance, one-note scowling, and chronic overacting. Again, I don't know if it's the performer or the director but the chemistry is wildly destructive to the show. BRING BACK CHAMBERS!

Even if I despise Inspector Sullivan because of his attitude toward Father Brown, I do enjoy his performance.

Just don't see any "chemistry" between them and the animosity of the Inspector to Father Brown detracts from the scene I am watching. Just my thoughts.
