This championship was and still is loved by many because the WWE superstars who fought for it weighed no more than 225lbs and so always brought something different to the table, all champions having their own unique style. With the rich history that this championship has, it is safe to say that this title brought the WWE universe 5-star matches with many talented WWE superstars challenging one another for it. The likes of former World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero, Billy Kidman, Tajiri, Matt Hardy and even former WWE Women's Champion Jacqueline have all been WWE Cruiserweight Champions in the past. Others on the current roster and even those who have still yet to perform on WWE TV, unfortunately aren't getting the time they deserve in the ring and we want to see more of them. Considering that there are plenty of WWE performers who weigh no more than 225lbs but aren't being given any air-time, the WWE universe would like to see them competing again for this title.
