The Board has decided that their idea of a "good cause" justifies any means. Where have we encountered this idea before? Hopefully, not in the actions of anyone who "gets" recovery in AA, or has committed in their personal lives to live by the Traditions of AA. I hope you will join me in the fight to restore integrity and openness to the WAC.

This club has been operating for many years bringing life and sobriety to hundreds. The membership is an integral part. The board does not appear to have a right to have eliminated it.

The name Alano Club has been a safe harbor for the recovering community for more than 75 years and needs no rebranding.

As a W.A.C. (Lifetime) member and former W.A.C. board member (2 years)
I want to express my opinion that The Washtenaw Alano Club should ALWAYS HAVE MEMBERS VOTE REGARDING ANY AND ALL IMPORTANT MATTERS .THIS ALSO SHOULD INCLUDE BOARD MEMBERS & DIRECTORS.
In other words " A Group Concience" has been and always will be the best path for Alano Clubs Especially at the Washtenaw Alano Club and especially at this TIME! Sincerly Patrick H

There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part! And you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop! And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it — that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!
