To the merchandising department of GAP: Every time that brand-name clothing is worn by a main character in a popular show, the fandom immediately rushes to identify that clothing. As made evident by nearly every costume piece to be identified, association with an iconic character, especially as part of an iconic outfit, causes a tremendous rise in demand among the fandom. Although most brand-name wardrobe pieces have been identified in time for the makers to benefit from the sudden demand increase, the brown suit with blue pinstripes worn by David Tennant in Doctor Who wasn't identified as having been made from pairs of GAP pants until three years after he began wearing it. Needless to say, this created a large demand for the pants, but it was far too late to buy them anywhere except eBay, where they would often sell for thousands of dollars. We, the undersigned, ask that you re-release the trousers in question, for the sake of mutual benefit: your company will earn a large amount of revenue, and we will finally have a very heavily sought after costume piece.
