Bring back the 'STARS' enrichement option

The Scholars Enrichment program is TWICE as much as the former STARS program and not all parents need care through 6p. In addition, this is an incredible expense if a parent has more than one child in the Enrichment program. Is there any consideration to bringing the STARS program back as, other than the financial benefit for CLF, there is no extra "work" for the teachers who are going to be there until 6p anyway. This is a MAJOR disappointment. Lastly, will the drop-in fee that was implemented last school year still be available to parents who are not enrolled in Enrichment full-time? As a parent who works remotely most days, only need the Enrichment program 1 - 2 days per week? $280 for 2 - 4 days bi-weekly is excessive.

Bring back the Star enrichment program

This program is truly needed for my family. My husband and I are both teachers and due to my school's later start time and location, I am unable to pick him up by dismissal. The Star Enrichment allows us to fulfill our duties and pick our son up by 4pm.

The 3-4 pm slot is an important option to my family. It allows us to have our daughter tutored after school for her learning disability. Taking this away not only puts parents in a difficult spot financially, it also takes away homework and family time for some families.

My daughter has been apart of CMIT enrichment program for 2 years, taking this option away will prevent that from continuing. Please reconsider all the parents this portion of the program benefit.

The stars enrichment program meets a vital need for many families. It needs to be reinstated.

Please reinstate this enrichment time block. If very necessary for myself and all parents who do not work in the area and have to battle thru traffic to make it to Laurel.

This hr is both beneficial for parents who are picking their children up and the children who need to start their homework to prevent doing work all evening.

The enrichment program is a positive program and I am in support of it.

Please reinstate this program. It is very beneficial to the kids. My son love this program. It is also important to the parents.

Dorothy Simmons, Please keep this program in place as it is vital to parents that work in Washington, DC. It is impossible to get to the school before 4pm and the program have been vital in allowing parents to have an easy mind about their kids being safe. Please reinstate the program.

The Stars Enrichment program is imperative and a necessity for the parents that live in the southern part of the county whose children attend CMIT Elementary. Please reconsider the discontinuance of this option. Since the school does not provide transportation, this option allows parents to ensure that their children can attend this sound educational institution.

This program is vital to many families at CMIT Elementary School. As a parent and educator it is essential that the Stars Enrichment program remain open. The program's 4pm end time is beneficial to my family as it allows me to fulfill my after school duties and reach my son at a reasonable time. Without this program I would be unable to find another option to picking him up by the normal dismissal time and educate my students. Please keep this program alive and active!!

Please reinstate Stars Enrichment at CMIT North. Our family truly depends on the 1 hour after school option. We have rearranged our work schedules to accommodate & ensure that our child can be picked up by 4. My job will not continue to go back & forwards with me as my change has forced changes for us.

Please keep this vital after school program active as many parents depend on this program. As a parent who works an altered work schedule, having this option is vital so my child can attend this school.
