There is a lack of racquet sports facilities in Callander. the court could surely be shared.

Very unreasonable. We must do all we can to encourage more people and especially children to play more squash and racquetball - the perfect all-year round indoor sport to defy the Scottish weather!

The only other squash option I could find within 10 miles of Callander involves having to join a sports club. Enabling a court at MCLC makes squash affordable and a realistic sporting option for the local community. I would definately use it with my children.

Believe it or not, no figure has been given by MCLC - despite a request for this! It gives you some idea of the problems we are having in trying to cooperate with the Board of MCLC. I am going to work on the basis that they will be looking for annual hire costs for ~ 3 evenings a week + one weekend day.
I will be reworking a plan to present to the Board next week. Roughly speaking if after 1 year, we had around 60 members paying on average just around £12/month, I'm sure we would be sustainable and would look to a future where we would have both courts available.
