Have you been watching Barney and Friends when you were a kid back in 1992 when the show first premiered on PBS Kid? If you did then they have a brand new TV show called Barney’s World and I'm glad that I never got a chance to watch the new show.
The reason why I’m not a fan of the new TV show Barney’s World because it’s not as good as the original TV show Barney and Friends that we all grew up watching on TV and on Home Media on VHS tapes and DVDs.
In the original series they had a school, a classroom, a playground, a tree house, a park and a caboose during the Lyrick Studios era and the Hit Entertainment era on a studio sound stage along with a group of child actors that swap though out the week in each episode depending on their age, how long they stay on set, how many hours they have school when they are not on set and adult actors in costume mascots playing Barney, BJ and Baby Bop along with some special effects and illusions of the show's magic though out the entire series till the show ended in 2010.
Compare to the new series it doesn’t make any sense why would they want to cut this corner because in Barney's World they made the entire show CGI along with some CGI characters and voice actors playing the characters. It's just a mess right now and it's creepy to see Barney and his friends CGI.
Plus they ruined the imagination in Barney's World as well.
This reminds me of the TV show Thomas and Friends where changed from the model era to the CGI era until the show ended in 2021 after 24 seasons because they are running out of ideas for future episodes to add on to the series.
Barney's World is just a bad show and it's not like Barney and Friends.
The show needs to be refreshed and they need to go back to what we all know and love and see Barney in person in a studio sound stage with child actors and bring back the imagination along with our beloved purple dinosaur.
Other than that, the sets on Barney and Friends look like they were straight out of a Broadway stage show. Not a lined drawing cartoon like they did in Barney's World.
