It's how I found out about a lot bands back as a student. A bit like Later... today, but in its day a different target audience
The OGWT has always been a musical reference, something people need to give them a taste that isn't the same as everything else playing on the radio.
I’d like to see it come back permanently only if it is a sober, serious version, like when Bob Harris hosted it, and not what it became in later years.
We need a more open music show on the BBC, one that looks to the grassroots of music as well as the big names.
This programme was a bit before my time, but my old man introduced me to this on DVD, absolutely brilliant watch. Bring back please
