13 and 12 every hour on their previous routes leaving the station half hour apart would have benn better than cutting the 12 entirely. It isn't rocket science to work out that doing this was going to leave some of the most vulnerable people with no access at all to a bus service.

“A real voice for Cardiff’s older citizens” Cynthia Ogbonna Managing Director Cardiff Bus Sloper Road Cardiff. CF11 8TB 16th May 2014 Cardiff Bus Service Provision Dear Cynthia, My name is Andrew Lucas and I am the Co-ordinator of Cardiff’s 50+ Forums. I have been asked to write to you on behalf of the Chairs of Cardiff’s various 50+ Forums which have been established in the Neighbourhood Partnership Areas of Cardiff. The aim of the 50+ Forums is to represent the voices of older people (50+) within the South West neighbourhood partnership area of Cardiff and to identify key issues for people within this area. The 50+ Forum will work with Cardiff Council and its key partners to tackle identified issues in order to improve the quality of services for all older people across all areas of their lives. In the most recent round of 50+ Forum meetings, the reduction of bus services across all areas of Cardiff was raised by many Forum members as an issue of concern. Members feel that this reduction in service is causing distress and is contributing to isolation and loneliness amongst some older people who are reliant on public transport to carry out their day to day activities. Members also identified the lack of a Central Bus Station (with accessible toilet provision) as an issue of concern for older people as some journeys rely on people having to walk across the city centre in order to catch connecting buses. Cardiff’s 50 + Forum members would like to meet with you or a representative in order for you to outline the position of Cardiff Bus in relation to these issues and to answer any questions members may have. If you are willing to meet with Forum members would you be able to indicate some potential dates in June when I could try to arrange a meeting? Yours sincerely, Andrew Lucas on behalf of: Jeanette Edwards (Chair, Cardiff North 50+ Forum) Betty Lewis (Chai

The number 12 was my mine route in and out of the city centre, as i live around the corner from the bus stops. Alot of People in this area are suffering because this service has stopped. Especially the elderly & people with disabilites, having to go onto landsdowne road or into canton to catch a bus. I have had personal dialogue with cardiff bus & Edwina Hart from the welsh government over this issue. Neither of them seemed interested in my comments or complaint.

So many people are affected by the withdrawal of this service. I am sure Cardiff bus could make some adjustment to reinstate.

The bus is the only means of transport for some, particularly those who are not able to walk long distances to other routes. Please reinstate this popular route.

The only bus that went from Ely closest to capital retail park leckwith it was always packed and used well , only having the 96 means it's always over crowded and always late due to the demand of people now using it and if you have a pram then you have no hope maybe if they stopped all there pointless advertising then they would save money and not have to pull services , it's a public service but did they speak to the public to get our views on which services to pull NO!!! Bring back the 12 or Cardiff council should find someone else to run are bus company
