This show was very funny, captivating and forward-thinking. It was a great thing for the LGBT rights movement and allowed people to see gay couples in a very positive light, as they should be. One of the best sitcoms I've ever seen and one that sorely disappointed me when it was cancelled. This show needs to come back, even if it's on Netflix, like Arrested Development.

I loved this show! It was a smart funny and an inspirational show. It illustrates to the world a more tolerant society.
It subtlety educates the masses simply with the title but more so with the well scripted dialogue. I like it so much because the show didn't take it's self too seriously and it wasn't preachy. It made a point with the title alone but then tried to create a situational comedy to compete with the best out there like friends, but focused more on reality rather than comedy. To make fun of situations and choosing not to focus on the problems of bigotry but in fact embraced it lightheartedly with the Jane Forrest (Ellen Barkin) character.
I think the new normal is needed as a tool not to say that this is a new reality but that this is In fact reality! and like the bbc's charter aids in Britain's TV shows, we need a show like this not to force views on people, which some bigoted people think it was used for, but to show that this way of life is a reality for some people in today's society. Everybody should have the opportunity to be represented as normal. Because what is normal really?

I could not wait to watch this show each week. This was best show on TV and so much better than Modern Family. I miss it and want it back. It was so well written and hilarious! Please, please bring it back.

My children and I loved this show. It was really well written, funny and just covered so many issues. I loved the sarcasm, all of Shania's outfits, the grandma's racism and Nene's spice. Please bring this show back.

Please bring back toss awesome show! I'm so glad this petition exists! If it didn't I was going to start one myself! My bf and I were just sitting here talking about how great it was and how insane it is that it was canceled. :-(

The show checked all my boxes! Politically active and bipatrisan, witty,funny,emotional with brilliant actors and one that brought across so many agendas for the society. I cant believe they continue with something like 'duckdynasty' but not this show. What a shame!

This show had a fantastic cast as well as such an appealing concept that is very much of an issue to this very day. It is such a pity that such a great show had to end so discretely. I find this show to far surpass so many other shows in which somehow remains viewable. Maybe it just shows how say immature our society as a whole is. What a pity that is indeed.

I miss the show so much. This show can really make me feel relax and feel the warmth of a family from a tense hard-day work. Feel so sad when first heard it was cancelled. NBC please bring TNN back. Such a stupid action to cancel such a great show.
