“Gotta catch ‘em all” is engraved into the memory of my childhood, and now that I’ve caught them all, I dang well deserve to keep them all with me.

Bring back the National Dex. You seem to forget that regardless of the target fan base being toward kids, your loyal older fans that have been with the franchise since 1996 are 16+ I've personally been with the franchise for over 13 years now.

It's been becoming increasingly obvious that Pokémon has been trying to attract as many new users as possible at the expense of their current fans. That has been evident in many of the modern Pokémon games, especially those for Switch. Let's GO and Quest are both obviously targeted towards mobile users. The fact that only Pokémon in the Galar region can be used in the gen 8 games shows that they're really only thinking of users who are starting with gen 8, leaving over two decades of loyal fans in the dust.

This is not in the spirit of Pokemon.
Delay the game.
Patch the game.
Provide free dlc.
Do something.
Gotta catch them ALL.

I get that there's going to be difficulty bringing Pokémon up to Switch quality, but not being able to bring your favorite Pokémon to the latest game is going to be heartbreaking to many longtime fans. I think I speak for the bulk of us when I say that I'd much prefer a delayed game over one that doesn't live up to the motto "Gotta Catch 'em All".

I could let it slide in the case of LGP/LGE, but this here is unacceptable. The National Dex has always been a series staple and should remain as such.

Why can't GAME FREAK be on the same page as Shigeru Miyamoto or the Metroid Prime 4 development team? It's fine if we don't have Pokémon Sword and Shield this year. We'd rather have a game that we're proud of.
Releasing a game in the holiday season to boost sales instead of taking the time needed to polish it is a crucial mistake. Please refer to the release of Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric (2014) as an example.

It's a shame they did this and I would rather have a delayed completed game then one that comes out soon but is missing important features. I would even be fine with national dex as paid dlc I just want it.

The national Dex is an important part to the Pokémon games and should be kept part of Sword and Shield.

There is literally 0 excuse for this. As a developer myself, I implore you to out quality first, and release this game properly with the full roster rather then rush it for a quick buck, you will sell more in the long run and come out looking like heroes.
