Yesterday, March 1, 2016, was a quiet day at April Six San Francisco. Too quiet. Our beloved music stream—as much a part of our open, intimate setting as the work we do or the air we breath—had been shut down and locked out. No Spotify, no Tidal, no Pandora, no 8tracks. Worse yet, no Beyoncé, Bieber, or Billie Holiday. (Instead, we have the sound of bulldozers and cement mixers from the construction site next door.) And for what, bandwidth? Bandwidth is cheap.
