Good heavens, taking a woman's name off a medal, that sounds like the reverse of that now commonly bandied-about term "woke."

It's deplorable that the name of this great lady has been removed from the award made in her name.

This is such a cold and thoughtless substitution. The Kate Greenaway Medal should retain its respected name.

This medal and it’s name honours anyone who works within the challenging area of illustration. Don’t change it

I’m willing to bet more people have heard of the Kate Greenaway Award brand than the CILIP brand. And I’ve no idea who this firm of brand consultants is. “Agile” - that’s really the best name they could come up with for themselves? And now they’re advising CILIP (another “great” rebranding of a few years ago) to axe the Greenaway name to improve brand recognition? Please.

So little recognition of talented women - seems a real shame to change the name of this prestigious prize.

Another depressing example of corporate ugliness, ignorance and arrogance, and done with the kind of less-than-honest sleight-of-hand which characterises organisations which believe themselves to be above the concerns of the people who actually do care about such things, and rightly.

Yet another example of women being ‘cancelled’ or misogyny. Take your pick. Reinstate Kate Greenaway.

It’s a disgrace this is being renamed. The Kate Greenaway medal is like the Oscar’s, it’s a god standard. Who’s heard of Yoto Carnegie?

The Kate Greenaway Medal should retain its well known respected name. For illustrators this is a badge of recognition.

This becomes more about the business of the rewards industry and those that make a living from it rather than those who are being awarded.

Renaming by erasing the woman honoured for her work and replacing with a capitalist idenrifier is abhorrent and reprehensible. You have just provided an object lesson for the belief that "everything has a price". Shame upon you. Fix this!
