The Hub gave the students the haven to process the world unfolding around us. The Mount needs to honor its promise of supporting our intellectual development by bringing back the well-beloved Hub. In a world feeding an unending stream of news, we need the time and ability to process the information overload. Reflection, not just dissemination - it's integral to being a global citizen.

I first heard about the Hub through my Ochem professor and a few students that were involved. Before that I had only wished to have a place were I could openly express my thoughts about sensitive topics. If the Mount promotes 'educationing future leaders', then the Hub is a vital part in that and can help student learn to have an intellectual conversation without putting one another down. I believe that many of the problems we currently face as a nation has been brought on because of the lack of conversation, understanding, and compassion. If we are told we are unstoppable on a daily basis, they why stop us now.

If we don't have a area to voice our opinions and discuss about current topics how can we call ourselves a inclusive liberal arts school. Other universities are allowed to have open dialogue with out having fear of offending someone why can't we? Everyone claims that we are "Unstoppable" but it seems that we've been stopped.

I participated and encouraged students to participate. I found the HUB to be a real community building place on campus.

I was able to attend some of the Hub's events. The discussion was stimulating and enlightening, as well as a good resource to have educated discussions on hot topics.

I think it is very important for students to dialogue and this gives students a safe environment to do so. Not having it, is a disservice to the students. It needs to be brought back.

The Hub allowed for people to think about many important issues, to really think. It stimulated minds and allowed for free discussion. Please bring it back.

The Hub is an important space for intersectional and interdisciplinary learning, understanding and intellectual dialogue at Mount Saint Mary's University Los Angeles. Please bring back The Hub!

As an alumni, I was always frustrated with the lack of outlets on campus to talk about difficult social isssues openly and freely. To hear that Student Affairs has stopped one of the few INTELLECTUAL on-campus outlets is saddening and disheartening. It is completely non-sensical that they would put a stop to the Hub, when its sole purpose is to deepen students understanding and comfort with difficult current events that we are forced to deal with outside of the bubble of college.

Great way to keep everyone informed and aware of different issues going on in the world and in student's lives. It's a great environment for students to not only get the support that they need, but also to hear ideas different from their own and learn how to address them.

Friends of mine have enjoyed going to these events. It got them excited to share their opinions and be open about what they believe. It is a sad thing that they shut this wonderful program down. I hope they will see why they should bring it back.

As a alum who participated in The Hub, I think this is a great space. I also believe that at times like this our female and minority student leaders at the Mount need this safe space. At my graduate school there are meetings like this and they are crucial for building resilience.

Student ID: 0548065 I am signing because this was a safe place for me to talk about my frustrations about the 2016 election, microaggressions, and other sensitive topics. The Hub has helped me release some of my anger and learn from others who may not share the same views as I do. I know it can help others too! Bring it back!!
