Mr Griffith is by far one if my favorite teachers in rms. Not only is He is so passionate about orchestra and teaching us, he always knows how to put a smile on our face even on the worst days! He is an amazing teacher and treats the students like their his own kids . He is different then all the rest because he doesn’t just teach, he inspires, he has such a good sense of humor and heart !! It’s a big mistake to let him go it is an honor to be able to have one of the best orchestra teachers be able to teach here, you shouldn’t just throw that away!! I really hope the school board makes the right decision by keeping this amazing teacher!!!!

We cannot lose sight of the importance in our schools nor the high priority we need to place on music education.

Chris is a fantastic educator. I have used his website and other teaching tools to better my own program and better reach my own students. What an awful and embarrassing mistake being made by the BPS system.

When Mr. Griffith told us he was being let go, everyone was crying. Then he handed out Chipotle napkins to use as a tissue. I love his sense of humor. He means so much to me and our school. Please do not make him leave. I want everyone for years to come have an amazing teacher. That teacher would be Mr. Griffith. We love you Mr. Griffith!!

In all the years my family has been involved in the music program in Batavia (chiefly Band), I have never been impressed with the middle school orchestra until Mr. Griffin came along. After a concert, I had to meet him and compliment him on what he had accomplished with his students. The district is so top heavy in administration, I suggest some administrators can be let go to keep expenses down and retain Mr. Griffin.

As a former colleague I can say I would put Chris in the top 1% of educators I have worked with. Chris has a passion for students going above and beyond by doing best practice research outside of school, affording time to bettering himself professionally in local groups (which in turn betters the students) and always offering his time and attention to his students first. I genuinely hope that Batavia reconsiders their decision to make cuts to their fine arts program and keeps Chris on their staff. They are lucky to have such an incredible and talented educator on their staff.

It’s not fair that Mr. Griffith has to leave. He is an amazing teacher and doesn’t deserve to leave.

Mr. Griffith goes above and beyond in teaching and keeping the students engaged. A truly wonderful influence on my child’s learning!
