We, the students of Quest International University, especially from the Faculty of Medicine (FOM), are deeply affected by the recent reduction in shuttle bus timings (7:45–9:00 AM and 4:00–6:00 PM).
This sudden change — made without proper notice or alternatives — is highly inconvenient and unsafe, particularly for students who have classes in TTS, ASB, or need to access the car park throughout the day.
Key concerns include:
- The shuttle already takes 10–15 minutes to arrive, causing delays.
- We are required to wear formal attire, and walking in the afternoon heat poses a risk of heatstroke.
- Students have different class end-times, and many finish during the midday hours when shuttle service is now unavailable.
- The walk involves exposure to oncoming traffic, which is hazardous, especially during peak hours.
- MPU classes have resumed at TTS and ASB, requiring travel throughout the day.
- Students have to walk under the hot sun and through heavy school traffic all the way from car park to main campus as parking is also not allowed in TTS anymore.
- Not every student owns a car and some depend on shuttle services especially when the weather is too hot or when it is raining
We respectfully urge the university to reinstate full-day shuttle service or introduce alternative transport solutions that prioritize student safety, practicality, and comfort.
