I haven't yet heard a reasonable explanation as to why this service has being taking away and who exactly made this decision.

LCC should be providing more bins not taking them away, Bring back the plastic recycle bins

LCC made the wrong decision in following the government directive to scrap out plastic recycling banks. In our present global climate we need to be encouraging people to reuse and recycle not deterring them. I support this camp 100%!!

My green bin is only collected once a fortnight. We have 4 children and use about 30 litres of milk each week. The bring banks were great for us as it meant we could recycle our milk cartons and fit everything in our green bin.

What a stupid decision to do away with them in the first place.

My plastic goes in the bin now because I don't have a recycling bin and can't get to the recycling centre. These bins were always the fullest when I went to the banks. I still go with my glass and cans

Why have we elected representatives when they are ignored? I don't support Sinn Fein, and never will, but by God In support this petition. It is scandalous that a simple thing like plastic recycling is being removed in favour of a more expensive or awkward option for the customers. I too am disgusted by this decision.

This was a dreadfully retrograde step by the council. I don't sign petitions but this is an exception for me, as I am disgusted by the council's decision

Bring back them back! When they are brought back, address some real problems. The health service in this country is a JOKE!

Them so called Louth County Councillors should be a shame of them selves for doing away with this service, when everyone was using it for the good of the environment, and now are forcing people to burn or just dump them in the general waste, where they be charged more because of the weight of the two lift per month will exceed the weight allowed without extra charges. so its another way of getting or making more revenue for the bin companies .
