Due to so called listener demands, the Big Banana Boys who covered Oxford Utd games in their own unique manner have been withdrawn from the Jack Fm schedule for the upcoming League 2 season. One of Jack Fm's reasons for pulling the show was that its listeners decided via an online survey that they'd prefer the station to play " what they want, when they wanted " Part of the Statement can be seen below; "As part of the Oxfordshire community, we undertake extensive audience research via various means including the recent Oxfordshire Music Survey. With the majority of our listeners telling us they love our “Playing What We Want” music policy, we have taken the decision to deliver our music promise every weekend through the summer and beyond. We will however continue to support the club via our news and sport bulletins as we feel OUFC news is an integral part of the truly local Oxfordshire news service our team prides themselves on delivering." It seems Jack FM have underestimated the support and the amount of people who tuned into the BIg Banana Boys show. The 3 presenters are mad about all things OUFC and have been supporters for many a year, offering a very unbiased outlook of all things Oxford Utd. A healthy twitter account of close to 2000 followers suggest that the show has a very good core support. The aim of this petition is to show the bosses at Jack FM that the Oxfordshire, sporting public want the return of the Big Banana Boys to their weekly slot covering Oxford Utd.
