Unbelievable that TfL did not think this through. This is a very important and useful route with great connections to others. Obviously no consideration has been given to the local community.

An essential service for local residents particularly those with less mobility to Clapham Junction.

I specifically bought a flat in a Archer house vicarage Crescent because the bus stops outside. I cannot walk well and totally rely on this bus to get to my flat. It doesn’t need to be a double decker. J Staite

It seems that a solution via traffic management must also be possible enabling retention of a two direction service even with higher bus heights such as applying alternating direction of traffic flow (using a stop light system) under the bridge when buses are using this route enabling a bus to pass under the central part of the span. I wonder if any consideration has been given to creative solutions of this nature. It is a vital route especially west bound as it provides access to Clapham Junction Station and surrounds for less mobile people of all ages.

This is shameful! Security for residents of Lombard Road ignored. This has to be revoked. PLEASE bring back the 170 on Lombard Road!

I have lived on Vicarage Crescent for 15 years. As there are so many blocks of flats here there are an enormous number of residents who will be affected, including many elderly and disabled residents who are unable to walk. It is our only transport link in this area and the former single decker bus fits everyone on at all times except peak

So as we all know London is often said to have one of the best public transport systems in the world! Not anymore. We respect the bridge is too small for a double checker but we like our single story bus! Please bring it back. For the sake of the people who use it to get to work and myself who visits Victoria regularly on it.
