Crucial that this service is reinstated. The restaurants and businesses of Battersea Square depend upon it, and the local residents are seriously inconvenienced by its removal too.
Please retain the route of 170 it is not really easy for the passengers the new route. It’s really so complicated especially for the peak time in the morning and afternoon...

Please bring back the Westbound 170 bus route between Battersea church Road & Lombard Road. What is the point in the EMPTY bus I see going down Battersea Bridge Road and along Battersea Park Road until it joins it original route near Plough Road.

What about all the older and vulnerable people that aren't mobile enough to walk?

TFL is very wrong to have taken this action without due thought, care and attention to the local people's needs
Why weren't new buses bought with the correct height to fit under Cremorne Railway Bridge on the Lombard Road.
Who exactly in TFL made his human error work mistake because now it is affecting our local residents badly.
I bet if a company director of TFL
lived nearby this much used bus Route No.170 they would have made very sure the correct height buses were purchased in the first place and not wrong ones so that now we all have to suffer.
Sort it out fairly and reinstate this service with immediate effect for
our 170 bus service westbound along Battersea Church Road, Vicarage Crescent and Lombard Road.
No excuses for bad management
can be made for this commercial
mistake TFL staff have made here.

I fully support this petition to TFL to ensure that the 170 bus service continues to run along Vicarage crescent, under the bridge and along Lombard Road. This route is relied on and is of great need to our local community and neighbours young and old.

Suggest they use only those buses which can comply with bridge height and exchange the new ones with somebody else.

You removed the bus and didn't explain why. I phoned TODAY to complain to TFL and I was rudely told it was because of roadworks and my complaining was not going to get me anywhere. My child goes to nursery on Flood St and now that they have closed the bus stop on the King's Rd I can't get home without walking half a mile. But it incenses me that I phone TFL to ask them to explain what was going on and he belittled me (told me others had phoned today) but he was not going to do anything by way of explaining the situation. Two fingers up to you too.

This is an essential service, especially for the elderly, those with young children, or the less mobile - there are no alternative bus routes (or tube/train stations) in the area, leaving many residents with no access to public transport. The re-route follows roads already served by multiple other services.
Crucial that this service is reinstated. The restaurants and businesses of Battersea Square depend upon it, and the local residents are seriously inconvenienced by its removal too.
Please re-instate the bus 170 service.
It’s affecting our business
Huge inconvenience for local [email protected]
Please save 170 bus
