We want a summer school back because we don't have money to keep on repeating year just because of failuring one module especially business mathematics. We want summer school for business mathematics...our parents they are unemployed and failing business mathematics its just making us to repeat second more than 3 times ....imagine not progressing with your degree just because business mathematics or just because of 1 module

In my opinion i think bringing back summer school will be seen by many students as a sense humour and a gratitude. Because many students especially old curriculum phase use to experience the phasing out of modules. So once one fail that module it can affect their chances of graduating and obtaining their respective qualification. Bringing back summer school will be a great Impact in Academic. Everyone deserve second chance, Students are the future generation of this country, DON'T fail us but help us succeed in Academic. BRING BACK SUMMER SCHOOL!!

If I were to genuinely comment on the matter, I believe that not having a summer school program undermines the purpose of education. It highlights that a systematic approach does not necessarily equate to successful educational integration. For instance, there are numerous cases where examination papers go missing, marks are incorrectly entered into the system, or the number of modules per semester is overwhelming. All UNAM tells us is: "Sorry, try again next year." What does that even mean? To alleviate these issues, even slightly, summer school would be a viable solution. Personally, I can afford to repay and retake a module. After failing, it's clear that repayment is necessary to redo the module. However, if I have to retake it in a year with new content, how well do you expect me to perform? I'll likely fail again, which is evident from the frequent clashes in core semesters when one fails a core module. And this is under the new curriculum? Moreover, summer school offers significant benefits to the university: it isn't free, and we pay the full module price for it. No one would waste money to fail a module, and even if they do, it's still revenue for the university and provides us with the opportunity we are seeking. What exactly is the issue? My question is: if summer school is not available, who benefits? It's certainly not the students, and it doesn't seem to benefit the university either.

This initiative is warranted. Not sure why it was removed. UNAM is for the students and forging a new generation. By reinstating summer school it will show us just that. Currently students are at a disadvantage, changes causing more struggles than positive solutions.

People really do need more opportunities to finish their degrees. I firmly agree.
