This month the PTO introduced a new hot lunch vendor to provide both hot lunch AND pizza on Wednesday.
For years. Pizza on Wednesday at Washington School has been a highly participated program. It serves to provide kids with a lunch that they enjoy as well as a fundraiser for the PTO.
Annually pizza day brings in approximately $5,000.
Pizza has been a fundraiser for the PTO since 2002 - raising over $72,000 for the PTO in that period.
With the new Healthy Kids Kitchen program, many kids are not enjoying the pizza and PTO will NOT raise the money it has in the past.
