I loved snow days as a child! Watching the TV with anticipation to see if your school was closed! Those were the best! It's sad that our children don't get to experience the joys of a true snow day!!

Our family homeschools so we don’t usually observe “snow days.” However, we will be enjoying a break tomorrow because JOY is in short supply for kids lately. I sure hope our public schools friends can join us!

I completely agree with this child and think her along with all the Shelby County kids need a little normalcy back to being kids like it used to be when it snowed they got to enjoy it. I know my two students would.

My son is an 8th grader at WMS. With so much of school being done at home since last year, I believe all of the students in the district would benefit from a traditional snow day. I also wholly support Claire for taking the initiative to organize this petition.
