This is absolutely ridiculous if this the real reason for termination! If this is how those in charge handle simple situations like this they aren’t qualified to hold their position of authority!

This is ridiculous and parents need be responsible for getting their child to and from school each day!! If he would have written the child up/kicked him off the parents would have been just as mad!!

My own business driver would use silly things just like this but the most physical contact he ever had with any of us was a high five or fist bump, maybe a hug if the student asked for it. Great bus drivers are hard to find and keep, they find ways to handle misbehaving students other than just writing them every time that don't harm the kids. If this driver had no prior discipline on his record then I would believe someone was looking for a reason to fire him or some jumped the start. You have to protect the students but you also have to protect your drivers and aids and give them some grace and understanding or you won't have anyone left to drive the busses.

This is a very messed up situation. Yall know yall are in the wrong for firing this person because of ONE parents complaint. Please give this man his job back & give these kids the person they relied on for a smile.
