Support Sheriff, Springtown ISD Bus Driver – Wrongfully Terminated

Sheriff, the dedicated driver of Bus 79 for Springtown ISD, has served our children with care, professionalism, and consistency. Recently, he was wrongfully terminated over allegations of inappropriate behavior (jokingly threatening a 4th grader over a “wet Willy” for misbehaving)— for which he had no prior write-ups or disciplinary actions. Whether he had given a wet willy or not, getting abruptly terminated and charges filed- seems alittle extreme

Sheriff is also now facing charges from this disgruntled parent, claiming he was trying to assault the child with “bodily fluids”. This is totally ridiculous. Sheriff jokingly used humor as a way to “discipline” kids, instead of writing them up and kicking them off the bus.

Sheriff has positively impacted the daily lives of countless students, ensuring their safety and well-being on every route. His termination has caused confusion and distress among families who trust him and know his character.

We, the undersigned parents, students, and community members, urge Springtown ISD to review this decision, take into account Sheriff’s exemplary record, and reinstate him. Everyone deserves a fair investigation and due process before a career built on dedication is abruptly taken away.
