Rocky point was awesome..spent many summers there in the 70's. Six flags has nothing on the icon park

The kids of today need somewhere close to go to have fun like we used to have plus it'll keep them out of trouble. There's not much in our state for them to do for fun anymore

I grew up in warwick neck and i often would save my money so i could ride my bike to the park and enjoy a day on the rides. Rocky Point was an intrinsic part of my youth! It provided affordable fun for an entire family and certainly brought tourists and money from instate and out of state for a memorable time and plenty of fun. In addition it provided a venue for many up and coming bands to play. Undoubtedly many tax dollars were raised by tbis icon. Its time! Bring back Rocky Point!

It's a total shame that the park couldn't have been saved from foreclosure. Didn't matter when you went it was always full. That park was a Rhode Island trademark. Closing the park brought devastation to many areas, loss of revenue, employee jobs, and the fun for all that attended for the park or swimming pool, local and those that traveled. Countless memories have been made there over the years. Whatever needs to be done to bring Rocky Point park back should be without question.
