Bring Back Rev. Roy Thomas! #BringBackRoyAchen

I am 64 years old and I am appalled by what has happened. Please reverse the decision.

Bring Back Roy Achen.

Would like to be informed on why the reverend was removed from office. If no reason is given, demanding immediate return to office.

This shows disregard to the needs of the second generation of the Mar Thomites in the US and ultimately the downfall of the church here. You cannot maintain a church by only appeasing first generation Indian and the growth will eventually stop and it'love eventually lead to a break down of the church.

I obviously don't know the full story of what happened here, but I think we should be careful on our comments here against Thirumeni or the Sabha. Honestly, as a youth, my experiences with this Achen has mostly been negative, so the fact that he was terminated doesn't surprise me. He has openly said at a leadership conference that he hates Philadelphia. He left suddenly when he was appointed youth achen a few years ago (yes I heard all the "fair" reasons but as an achen you should be willing to make sacrifices) so it doesn't surprise me that there is a problem again now. He has a record of acting with arrogance and immaturity (and this is coming from someone way younger than him). It is likely he was terminated unfairly, again I dont know, but I don't think the Mar Thoma church was ever a good fit for him and it looks like now he has a way out. Regardless, we need to be careful on how we speak about our leaders so I wouldn't use this as a forum to bash the Metropolitan or the Sabha office. Obviously its an emotional time but lets put our Christianity into practice and use some constraint.

Bring back Roy Achen !

Being a Christian and Non Marthomite, It was my pleasure to meet Achen in Houston. Only knowing him for few times i was impressed how humble and caring a priest is. My myself was really impressed how he cares about the young youth in our community and want them to be under one shade and know what our culture and want to express the church morals in our community. Now a days as our generation grows bigger with different diversity i strongly Believe Roy Achen is in the right track to lead our generation and our culture which is really hard to find now a days. I am deeply saddened to hear what happened to Roy Achen. This will now be GOOD EXAMPLE to our youth or to our community. From humble person i am requesting to bring back Roy Achen if we require our Culture to grow in the right direction.

Sabha is not gaining anything by not giving transfer

Roy Achen is a role model to many youths worldwide, he is a warm and friendly person with a deep love of God. Achen has brought his own special qualities and ideas & has worked sincerely to direct the youths to embrace our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ. This decision can have a serious impact on the youths of our church, the Exit Rate of our youth has been increasing day by day, the church will have to be flexible & forward looking in the decisions they make. If the church decides not to reverse their decision, myself & our family would like to let him know how much he will be missed, & wish him the best in his future endeavors.

There is not a better youth Achen!

If the Mar Thoma Church is not willing to change its attitude towards the young priests especially those who are born and brought up here, they are going to loose more dedicated servants like Roy Achen. May be that's what the Metropolitan want, so that they can export some no good achens on a three year term to U.S. and other countries.

I know that Royachen and people like him are needed to guide our younger generation in Marthoma church .

The metropolitan is our spiritual father who is guided by the Holy Spirit. We should not be questioning his decisions, but should simply accept them as God's will. May God continue to bless the leaders of the Marthoma Church

We want our Achen back. What is his problem to terminate from mar Thomas church.

Well the Marthoma church has thought following God and his words rimes with following the Crazy Bishop who somehow things he is greater than God any body who has decided to follow God does not need the Bishops advice the Bible is there also the whole structure of the marthoma church is like a Corrupt corporation and works like the Mafias if you don,t like us we will exterminate you, funny where God is in there thoughts.

We need priest like him .

Metropolitan should retire like his predecessors and make ways for others instead of making hasty decisions.
