This was a huge part of my first year, and something other engineering school respect Laurentian for. The school should be supporting our students for their frosh week, not killing the whole thing. Other schools manage an entire frosh week with more students than we have with no issues.

I'm not one to drink much, and I generally don't enjoy parties. But purple is designed to make everyone feel insecure so that they all have the courage to talk to each other and meet new people.

Unfair to all the engineering students. What is the point of having an engineering society for the student body when all of the events are going to get shut down anyway

Purple Day is an extremely important tradition to Laurentian Engineering. It is not hazing, nor has it ever been. Students enjoy being purple and want to be. They don't have to if they don't want. It is an important day for the frosh to get too meet each other and upper years. There is no reason for the school to cancel this. BRING BACK PURPLE DAY.
