its honestly embarrassing that a school like emory doesnt have a real photo program. i had to go elsewhere just to get film development experience and it shouldnt have to be that hard.

Even as a pre-med student, i think it's time Emory starts focusing on students who aren't in a pre- track. If Emory wants to be one of the best and considered a liberal arts and research university, it needs to offer photography, art, journalism and other non-STEM courses too.

I would love to take a photography course at Emory, and I've tried, but I've never been able to. I think learning about the origins of photography, and all aspects of photography before digital would be incredibly helpful as a media studies major.

As a Photo Club Emory Exec member, I think photography should exist both as an extracurricular but as a genuine academic field at Emory worthy of a department.

Photography is a passion of mine that I'd love to focus at Emory but the visual arts program here doesn't offer the education I expected at this prestigious of a university.
